A leadership voice for black media…

In April 2016, Al Bartell held a “Black Media Matters” news conference when the decision was made to dismiss a renown black news journalist and reporter Maynard Eaton from the Saporta Report. The dismissal came after an article Eaton wrote brought to light questionable campaign activities of a prominent Fulton County attorney. A few weeks later, Bartell announced his candidacy for Mayor, following the Mercedes Benz Stadium Super Bowl announcement.
